I’ve been on a big mindset kick lately. And I have to be honest, it’s been working really well for me. Lots of new opportunities in my personal life and professional life have been making themselves very apparent. What to know what the funny thing is?
They were there all along. I just didn’t see them, because I had no clue I was repelling them. What you say comes into your life. Our words and thoughts shape our identities. Our identities influence our actions. Our actions either bring in the things we want, or hold us back.
I had no clue how much impact the words I had been using with myself were actually limiting me, and keeping me in a stagnant place. In fact, over the past few months, signs were being sent to me continually to propel me in the direction I desired, I just was scared to act on them.
And then a month and a half ago, one of the signs that had been gently making itself known decided to slap me in the face. I randomly went to a book signing and discussion because a friend invited me. I didn’t even know the book title or who the author was. I just had this gut instinct to say yes when she asked. It was amazing! Then within a week of this experience, I had a Reiki session for the first time, went way out of my comfort zone and said yes when I was invited to a group meditation, and also decided in that week that I just didn’t want to be stagnant anymore.
Well, let me tell you. It was a powerful week, and I received a significant amount of clarity. The light bulb went off. The fire ignited. I got out of my comfort zone and started doing things I have never been good at.
See what I doing? I was using negative self talk. It’s no wonder I was in a stagnant place. I kept holding myself back because I thought I couldn’t do certain things well enough to make change. And you know what was changing while I was using negative self-talk. Only my attitude. And not for the better.
So began to rephrase my self-talk. And low and behold, it didn’t take very long at all for me to see a huge difference. I have also been spending more time working on my spiritual journey so that my words, thoughts and actions are aligned with what I want.
To add to that, there is this really cool thing called the Universe. It already knows our potential, our path, and the tools right in front of us to help us live our authentic life. When we align our words, thoughts and actions with the Universe, we are propelled towards our dreams and goals.
As I have changed my words, thoughts and actions, as I have used more mindset tools, as I have deepened my spiritual journey, I have coped with stressors at home better, I have felt lighter and freer, I have danced and sang more, I have been able to finally meditate successfully, and my business has had a super fun boom lately.
What words are you using with yourself? Are you propelling yourself forward, or are you holding yourself back? Are you living your authentic life? Do you even know what that would be? If not, mindset tools can transform your life. If you’re shaking your head that, yes indeed, a mindset shift sounds like something you might need, let’s start a conversation and pow wow!
